Review: Just off the Lawrence Expressway in a dime-a-dozen strip mall is a spot that takes South Indian cusine seriously. A painstaking attention to detail is apparent everywhere-from the sleek dining room to the flawless menu with not a stinker in the bunch. The pesserette, a mung bean dosa filled with onions and hot peppers, gracefully straddles the line between crisp and chewy. Blistering puliyodarai is rice pilaf ascended to Valhalla, while the pongal, a porridge of rice and lentils, is as rich as custard. And aside from the wine list, a very reasonable $5 corkage affords diners the opportunity to pair an off-dry Riesling or GewŸrztraminer with the singularly heady food here. (S.H.)
